  13. WinTex is real powerfull, but not completely trivial to figure, 
  14. especially compared to much simpler tools like NWT.
  15. Hopefully, WinTex comes with a big help file that contains manuals,
  16. tutorial and reference, a on-context help system (press F1),
  17. a tutorial mode and blue help texts. So if you can't figure it out 
  18. you should forget about building WADs right now :-)

  21. I hope this is as professional quality as you can expect from a 
  22. Freeware product! Lots of work was invested in it, from me and
  23. from all my beta testers and supporters.
  24.     Make great WADs with it!

  26. Requirements:
  27.  You need VBRUN300.DLL, which is the Visual Basic runtime library.
  28.  It must preferably be put in your systems directory.
  29.  VBRUN300.ZIP is available on Ftp servers, BBS, Compuserve, AOL.
  30.  It is included in the full WinTex release, together with all the tools.

  32. Configuration:
  33.  - Put all the files in a special WinTex directory, which must be
  34.  readable and writable. (Sorry CD users, WinTex won't run from
  35.  CD. This is because I'm unable to access my library correctly.)
  36.  - preferably copy VBRUN300.DLL and THREED.DLL to the windows 
  37.   system directory (usually, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM)
  38.  - You should also put deutex.exe somewhere in your path. 
  39.  copy it to C:\DOS or C:\WINDOWS for instance.
  40.  - There is no setup program, because I don't have time to learn
  41.   now to use it reliably. Sorry again.

  55. This is a Freeware but copyrighted product, NOT public domain.
  56. If you intend to distribute this produck on CD or DISK, you will 
  57. first need my written agreement, and a free copy of the disk will help :-)

  59. RMB.EXE, TED.EXE, MIDI2MUS.EXE are included but shall not be distributed
  60. separately. If you want to distribute them, get the original package
  61. where those programs can be found (with manual and all the rest).

  64. It is not possible to guarantee that it will work will all Windows
  65. configuration. No one knows for sure what can happen under Windoze!
  66. I cannot be help reponsible for what happens when you use that program.

  68. my programming skills and my understanding of Windows. If they aren't 
  69. good enough, you can try reprogramming me!
